Success in the post-quantum era is driven by collaboration. We are proud to announce that mldsa-native — a high-performance, high-assurance ML-DSA implementation maintained by Hanno Becker (Amazon Web Services) and Matthias Kannwischer (CHELPIS) — has achieved major milestones in global adoption in January 2026:
✅ #AWS-LC (AWS Libcrypto): AWS's core cryptographic library, powering security across AWS services and infrastructure.
✅ #liboqs (Open Quantum Safe): Popular PQC prototyping library under the Linux Foundation, enabling algorithm integration into TLS, SSH, and X.509.
✅ #OpenTitan (zeroRISC’s distribution): The first open-source silicon Root of Trust, providing transparent, auditable hardware security for secure boot and key management.
Supported by the Post-Quantum Cryptography Alliance (PQCA), a Linux Foundation project, and developed in collaboration between CHELPIS, the open source community, and AWS, mldsa-native delivers a production-ready ML-DSA implementation meeting the demands and constraints of a wide range of application contexts. Already now, its use spans cloud-scale deployments, protocol prototyping ecosystems, and hardware roots of trust.
